This solid 20oz copper turret roof caps was custom made for a client named Syed Manzar in Sea Cliff, New York. He needed this circular turret roof cap. It is for the 22/12 pitch circular roof, so we made this with a 24/12 pitch with 16 uniform sides. It is 18" wide across the base with a small steeple cone to cover up the sealant at the top of the main base cap for the finial support pipe for this Galahad finial he chose.

The peak of the roof was already cut down flat, so I offered him this alternative to the larger steeple cone over the base cap. As you see here; that was the option he chose. I used the Gorilla glue to help home the wood block in place inside the roof cap and then drilled these pilot holes, so the block will not crack as I drive the 2" long copper nails in through the sides into the wood block in order to make certain it will not be moving decades later. Screws would provide a better hold, but they would be a lot more visible from the ground than these flat nail heads.
